Did I say that, I mostly meant by him rejecting a contract, it's quiet surprising as I thought he'll stay loyal with Dortmund, but when it's transfer session anything could happen, I mean Özil to Arsenal, who would have thought that will happen?[DOUBLEPOST=1406750710][/DOUBLEPOST]And I'm sure Liverpool can afford he release clause he has on him.

Özil going anywhere was always going to be a difficult deal as a lot of other clubs had finished up their business and at the time it seemed more likely that Di Maria was off. It wasn't well known like Reus seems to be and it wasn't at this absolute pisstake of a release clause, possibly a third of his actual worth.

Regardless, we had Wenger who convinced him and certainly that was a big pull amongst other things, Liverpool can't offer a lot of things a club like Arsenal were able to offer to Özil. It's the same with Reus, we have his idol in Rosicky a large German contingent and Wenger. He can come to us or he can go to City, United will be in there too before that there would be Real or Barca. Then perhaps you get to Liverpool and the like.

I don't think he'll move this season though. Next season. It will be interesting. I heard he had some sort of gentleman's agreement with Barca so if they decide they're bored of Neymar (entirely possible with these Spanish clubs to make way for the new toy) they can go in for him.

Wouldn't surprise me, disappointing. Will lose a lot of respect for him. Don't go out and say you'll never play for Bayern then.

I guess he just wants to dump them like they did to him when he was younger though.

we had him for a bit on a weird loan where he spent time in our reserves/youth set up with no intention of playing him.

don't think we even bothered trying to sign him.

but then this was around the time we decided to let world cup winner Mustafi go on a free so doesn't really mean anything.

I don't care if he's overpriced or not, but as long as we're getting a player better than Johnson I won't complain about the fees.
