FTP Cycle

Any nation can make a bid to host an event in the ongoing 1999-2003 FTP Cycle given they fulfill the eligibility criteria; which is listed on respective tournament pages.
A nation may not host more than one Global Event in a 4-year FTP cycle - co-hosting a tournament is allowed but the bid must be approved by the WCC first.

Phase I - Bidding

In a little over 48 hours, the World Cricket Conference will start accepting bids for Global Events in the 1999-2003 FTP cycle. Until then, nations can prepare their bids.

- Nations can make solo bids as well as co-hosting bids; however the latter will require approval from the WCC before they can be considered official.
- Each nation is required to fill the eligibility criteria mentioned on respective tournament info-pages - particularly ones pertaining to the number of venues required.
- Each nation may only bid on one WCC event in a four-year FTP cycle - bidding does not equate to automatically winning so be vary of which tourney you bid for.
- Once all bids have been received by the World Cricket Conference - we will move onto Phase II of the tournament bidding process which will involve voting.

Phase II - Voting

- Once all bids have been approved by the World Cricket Conference; there will be separate voting events held for each tournament to determine the winning bid.
- In case of a tied vote - the World Cricket Conference will retain the right to select whichever bid they deem better without providing any explanation or reason.

Nations League

- The top-four ranked teams in WCC Test Rankings are awarded group hosting rights; the bidding during this process for the Nations League is for the finals only.
- Nations awarded groups are eligible to bid for other WCC tournaments as well as finals for a particular Nations League where they play hosts during the group stage.

Bid Submission

- All bids must be submitted privately - please do not publicize bids until they've been approved by the World Cricket Conference; even if they include multiple nations.
- You can not include venues that have not been accredited by the World Cricket Conference for any of your tournament hosting bids; they will be deemed invalid.
- Members are allowed to add more venues upon winning a bid but they can not use non-existing stadia in their bid proposal to the World Cricket Conference.
- Members may simply bid for a tournament without specifying the year - the WCC logistics committee will automatically assign it to the most feasible year.
- Please use the form below; the WCC will start accepting bids at 12:00 PM GMT, December 1 (Thursday) through to 12:00 PM GMT, December 8 (Thursday).
