Ganguly helped us win says Inzy

Islamabad, April 26: While the opinion in India is divided on whether skipper Sourav Ganguly should have played the last two ODIs, Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq feels that his absence worked in favour of the visitors.

"I think his absence from the last two ODIs was good for us. It made a difference to us," Inzamam was quoted as saying in local daily The News on Tuesday.

The Indian captain, who was banned for six ODIs after the fourth match in Ahmedabad for the team's slow overrate, was not included in the squad for the last two ties at Kanpur and Delhi despite being cleared by the International Cricket Council, pending his appeal against the ban.

The Indian selectors did not call up Ganguly for the Kanpur match saying there was little time to change the combination and then ignored him for the decider in Delhi, making it obvious they were not happy with his batting form.

Pakistan went on to win the two matches with ease to clinch the six-match series 4-2.

Man If Gangully was there then we would able to survive man. Otherwise Rahul is nothing in captain man. Gangully is still the best captain for India. Right now he is not in form he need rest so he can work out and practice more. I am sure he will come back in form.

Yes of course, Ganguly helped Pakistan win that easily. He is a moral support to the players. Under him, the players dont lose consistency like they did in the Delhi ODI. He is still the best captain and right now, he needs a coach who can join with him and take the team ahead. All eyes now on the appointment of the coach!

Didn't matter if Ganguly was there or not. India's line up for all 6 matches sucked. They were always changing players (no team chemistry what so ever). Pakistan on the other hand stayed with the same team (one change here and there).

As for the next Indian coach. Dean Jones says that he is interested.

even i think so it might have helped the pakistan team because dravid is not a capable captain.
