General Racing Games

Don't worry Jack, I suck and haven't played it in ages too. We can be the tail end charlies :D

I don't have to stick my wheel down with books though, so you can boast when you beat me!

1) I have, as you know, mainly because you helped me sort it all out when I first got it.

2) I would love to but there are a few major problems:

A) I suck.
B) My steering wheel doesn't really work that well (I had to tape it down to cardboard, stick it in front of the comp and weigh down the cardboard with heavy books to make sure it doesn't move).
C) I haven't played in a very long time.

If there was enough interested could there be like a Rookie kind of separate race or similar to the BTCC have a second leader board for rookies despite racing in the same race?

I would also need to get some serious practice in with the right cars ect.

1. No problem! We've had a whole range of people take part over the last couple of years, varying from the very best in the rFactor world to some of the worst.
2. I've heard stranger things. ;) Mines held in place by masking tape now!
3. Once again, no real problem.
4. Could easily be done. We've done that kind of thing before so it wouldn't be an issue. BTCC is on my list of things to do, along with a couple of other things like Rallycross. :D
5. Someone I know does have a server that has hosted practice for us so if you wanted some help or some tips then that would be a easy way of doing it.

If you want a quick giggle, here's something someone did after I posted a picture of my "set up". I still haven't got them back. :D

I'm not alone! :banana2

I refuse to believe that's your bedroom Stevie - The Curtains appear to be open!!

If it is your room, what sort of music does you wheel enjoy listening to?

What are the chances that you'd find a wheel with the same taste in music as you.

My wheel likes listening to:
The Cars - Drive
Bob Dylan - This Wheel's on fire
anything by Stealers Wheels

pah bored with this joke now

The plastic fantastic is a piece of caveman egineering at it's best, altho I didn't know cavemen enjoyed thier 'pron' all that much!

Did my first online running with some practice around Brands Hatch tonight. Ran in the Alfa 156, was loads slower than Stevie, but was having fun. Found it a bit hard to drive so will go with the Leon.

rFactor? Not got it, but could get it, I hear it's good. I'd be up for some racing with you's lots. I'll try and wonder in to that thread tonight, Steve.

I presume there aren't any differences between DVD or Download, is there?

Kev has the DVD so he's the guy to ask but given he's already been online with me (I have the download) I'd say there is no real difference.

One comes on a disc :p

No, I have the DVD version, you need to have the disc in the drive, which is a bit annoying. (I did have 2 DVD drives, but one went a bit noisy so I'm down to one and swapping between rfactor and Ashes a lot now).
