Getting ideal/perfect spin input

Playing the game on Xbox One with the new patch, when i bowl with a spinner I can get the left hand rotation circle to go green, before flicking the release stick forward. However, I can never get better than 'good' for the spin input (rotations) even tho the circle is green - am I right in thinking it doesn't matter whether the green ring is complete or tiny?

Is there such a thing as 'ideal'/'perfect' spin input as there is with release etc?

Guessing your playing on hardest or custom, pretty sure to get perfect/ideal you have to rotate the left stick and release it at the same time you release the delivery(not 100% sure though, @blockerdave @Dutch can you confirm?)

I've always rotated LS once (and once only), during run up, and then RS at point of delivery..so a definite delay between the two motions. The hud for the LS rotation stops when you stop rotating, so I don't see the need to keep it from sitting still. It's different to the DBC14 mechanic, where you had to continue to rotate LS and time it with the RS delivery. That said, I don't have the feedback notifications on, so cannot say whether I am getting 'perfect' or not (probably not if, @WealeyH and @Sweppy12 are right) . I tend to think more in terms of revs and speed. I certainly get enough turn and flight or bounce variation. I don't know whether any additional benefits come from hitting 'perfect' (i.e. greater chance of batter error), so tend just to look at adjusting revs, flight and bounce based on what I'm trying to bowl...if it isn't 'perfect', but I'm still skittling out the opposition for few runs, then I can live with it.

i think your right to a degree, on hard bowling difficulty or below you can rotate it once and leave it still getting ideal spin, however on hardest you have to release the spun the same time you release the delivery

Fair enough. I haven't tried hardest.
