Guys I'm interested in knowing your opinions on Button. If he has the ability everyone says he has - why has no big(ger) team tried to sign him? (Did Williams try to sign him a couple of seasons back?)

Button is locked into a contract with Honda, they are probably still paying Williams as he was contracted to them and they bought him out (of course it officially was Jenson himself who bought himself out).

Doesn't really matter if they paid it all in one go or not, they would have offset it against the life of the contract.

Because he doesn't have the ability the press says he does. He won in Hungary because nearly half the field had to retire. Now I'm sure his car isn't helping him out (especially this year), but he should at least beat Ruebens consistently.

Alonso followed by Hamilton.

Massa was someway behind as the McLarens were on fire.

4th: Fisi
5th: Kubica
6th: Heidfeld
7th: Wurz
8th: Kimi
9th: Speed (started 19th).

McLaren were comfortable winners, Speed did well as did BMW. McLaren have 20 point lead in the constructors Alonso and Hamilton on 38 points but Alonso ahead due to winning twice.

Mclaren dominated the entire weekend. Massa was some way behind Hamilton and Raikkonen had to basically get into the points after starting in 16th.

Like mentioned above, good performance by Scott Speed to finish 9th after starting 19th. Williams should be happy as well.

So consistency (in both their cars) has been the key so far for Mclaren. Ferrari has struggled in this regard.

The interview for Massa said it all.

McLaren showed really an incredible pace - even if i'd pushed like 150% on the limit it would have stayed the same... There was nothing to do. I was just thinking about finishing third and scoring points.

:cheers Good job at McLaren!

It was probably just blown out all proportion by the press anyway just looking for a story. The would have to 'investigate' any allegation, no matter how dumb. Probably the investigation went something along the lines of......

"Wow those McLaren guys did well with that one-two but it looks to me like Hamilton could have won it"

"Yeah, but Monaco's impossible to overtake at"

"Good Point. Remind me again why is it still on the calendar"

"Look Out Behind You!!!!!!" *FIA Official makes swift exit*

If Hamilton had pushed Alonso, I have no doubt in my mind that he would've put it into a wall and ruined the 1-2. Then the press would get on Alonso for not having let Hamilton through.

Last year it was all about Schumi's challenge to Fernando and this year its all about Lewis the Wonder Boy. When is Alonso going to get some (positive) press of his own?

I think the people that matter appreciate just how good he is. I don't particularly like him, but there is no doubt he is a quite amazing talent.

Anyway, what a fantastic lap from Hamilton to get pole. I'm just glad Alonso messed up the final chicane for a change on his last lap. :D
