He was sacked :p
By "a more competitive team" he means Force India, which he won't be getting.

A far-fetched scenario could be signing up in Force India as a Test driver, and somehow, Mallaya manipulating the drivers and making him race in the Indian GP.
(Yeah, it's a fragment of my imagination. That's what happens when you watch Indian media for too long :p )

I can't believe Maldonado got renewed. Does he personally finance the entire team?
That leaves Barichello, Petrov, Sutil, Senna, Alguersuari and Buemi chasing one William's seat and one HRT one.

I hear Petrov comes with a lot of sponsorship so William's will probably go with him.

I am reviving this thread.

Lots of happenings in the world of F1 recently- The Oscar Piastri drama and the Fernando Alonso move to Aston Martin. Perosnally, feel this move's got the potential to permanently destroy either Alonso or Aston Martin itself. The Piastri drama- well that's aother story, isn;t it?
