Have fun there. :clap

And I'll be watching this match on Friday. I can't miss this Sri Lanka in form. Especially against India who have done their bit with the bat in the previous ODI.

A couple of months back Agarkar was looking the most consistent Indian seamer and a certain selection!

SR: 46.77 (too poor)

I don't see a (very good) next to his economy rate.

The stats don't really take into account form, who they've achieved against, whether their career is in freefall or ascent, or what sort of support they've had though. Otherwise it would simply be a case of playing Agarkar, Pathan, Patel and Bhaji.

I remember 2-3 weeks ago u said that Pathan shouldn't be in the WC team. Now what has changed your views about him.
I want him in the team he gives flexibility to the line up.Also Sreesanth should be there.Whenever team is down with confidence he can lift them up in the field. He gives his 100% always.

Thanks for the sarcasm.

Now with the weather being like this and when we know that Pathan relies on the conditions to achieve swing, not wrong to try him out. Now that you've got him into the squad, you got to look to see if you can benefit by playing him!

The very poor was a family mishap, messing with my keyboard, forgot to take it out (to put it simply.

Well now Bangla have been hammered in this game, their fate is well and truely out of their own hands seeing NRR has almost become irrelevant after their loss and India's discarding of Bermuda. India v Sri Lanka is really shaping up the be a classic match, although form shows an Indian victory i'm not sure how there bowling attack will fair.

Bangladesh's target is now 311 in 46 overs.
Anybody dare to calculate the NRR now?:p

Sohum, now that Bangladesh's max overs have been brought down to 46, if they get all out for say 100, would it be 100/46 or would it still be 100/50???

If its 100/46, Bangladesh would gain something.

I wish it was an a Saturday so I could watch it. This match is evidence of how much the World Cup can turn around in one match. India are staring an early exit in the face and yet may go through to the Super Eights with 2 points if they win!

Match over! Sri Lanka thumped Bangladesh by 198 runs. I think Sri Lankans have booked themselves a Super 8's spot. India will book themselves one if they beat Sri Lanka (which is not going to be easy, but they can!). Bangladesh have to pray that India lose to Sri Lanka and they beat Bermuda!

Quite a complicated, but highly thrilling group this is turning out to be!

Well it was always going to turn out like this, it was going to hinge on the India-SL game if Bangla won a game.

Both teams get their runs/overs added in terms of D/L calculations. So Sri Lanka gets 311 from 46 and Bangla 112 from 46.

This pushes Bangla's NRR down to -2ish. A win against Sri Lanka should have our Super 8 berth all but confirmed. I've attached the spreadsheet again, with (hopefully) the last of the mistakes gone.
