Well this result hasn't changed too much, either way the SL v India game was going to be important and an absolute ripper. Form wise Sri Lanka should send India packing out of the WC but India will be determined not to go out in round 1.
Then they dream about Duckworth Lewis. ;Diceman_waugh said:And what if they get themselves a target like the one they had in the last World Cup Final ?
Theoretically, yes. I think we will be more troubled by their seamers than their spinners. If the conditions are overcast, I would pick Pathan and insert Lanka in. Pathan is a very useful bowler in conditions that are tailor-made for him. Not so much in all other circumstances.aussie1st said:So India's chances could hinge on that toss? Lose it and they will be facing Vaas, Malinga and Maharoof in seaming conditions.
Hmm... it's tricky. The only person I'd switch Pathan in for, at this stage, is Sehwag or Uthappa. Because I simply don't have the confidence in his bowling. Unless it's a nice green pitch and grey overhead.cricket doctor said:Playing Pathan would be too risky IMO, because if India bats first and loose few early wickets then their batting might be exposed (assuming he'll be in the side for a batsman) and considering the conditions out there in Trinidad, this is very much a possibility.
