It would be better if there would be two threads made, because there are two groups.

Its not technically a Super Eights, its Group E and Group F.

So two threads would be good for discussion sake.

Yeah, name this group E or F and give the other thread a different letter. I've been reading some confusion about this (like I expected), so I'll clear it out. Before you start wondering why they are ranked, like this: the positions were already predesigned cause of logistics reasons.

Group E:
South Africa (A1)
England (B2)
New Zealand (C1)
India (D2)

Group F:
Bangladesh (A2)
Australia (B1)
Sri Lanka (C2)
Pakistan (D1)

SA and NZ will probably go through from our group, but I hope we go down fighting.

I'm still keeping hope, actually.

Are these final? Why is Pakistan D1 and not D2?

Seriously? So even if we won the bowl out, we would still be in the same group? I think Aussies, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh will be more difficult then the other group. But I want that group instead because we played South Africa & New Zealand in ICC last year.
But we beat SL in warm up game, and have always had the upped hand over them (but I would say match is 50-50). Aussies would be hard, but they lost against Zimbabwe and we must give our 100%! Would be a cracked of a game! And we beat Bangladesh comfortably last week, but I am still fearing them, don't know why. But I have a feeling that the tigers are coming for us...
Would rate that one 60/40 in favour to Pakistan :)

Group E is a more tough group, I should say. All teams have an equal chance of doing well against each other. You might say that India look to be the weaker team, but in 20-20 the youngsters are important and India are loaded with them. If we sort out a few chinks, we are in good shape to challenge the other three teams in our group.

Sri Lanka and Australia will have easy pickings in Bangladesh. Dont know about Pakistan who can be unpredictable but they are looking good too.

My prediction of the teams going through the semis from each group:

Group E : New Zealand/South Africa, India/England
Group F : Australia, Sri Lanka

Group E is that tight. Making a prediction is being that tough. Group F is fairly easy to predict. Lanka are a very good all round team now and their demolition of Kenya gives us fear of what they can do in this tournament. Lets see how they do against NZ tomorrow.

I would love to say India, but England's experience in 20-20 would work for them. So its even stevens. I feel South Africa are due for a choke. Hope its against India.

Someone else make Group F?
I have a slight feeling we can tip over number one in this group.
I'm sure we can beat NZ (not that they're a bad team or anything) just a gut feeling.
And i think if we can get Greame and Gibbs early we can beat the Saffers.

We play NZ at Wanderers and not in Durban. Otherwise, the Bond threat would have been fearful.

What do you mean 'we can tip over number one in this group'? do you say we will top this group? i dont think so. for me, its enough if we can somehow get to the semis.

Crraaaaap! We have Sri Lanka and Pakistan!

Don't worry, we'll get them. :)

Afridi out for a low score, and Gillys squash ball will destroy Sri Lanka. :)
