Hi all

I've come on to this forum to seek some much needed advice being a cricket novice. My father has recently passed away and I am dealing with his estate. When he was alive he spoke about a signed cricket bat he had in the loft that may be worth something one day.

I found said bat today. It is a full size short handle Gray Nicoll bat which has been signed by the 1966 England & West Indies Test teams. It includes signatures of Colin Cowdrey; Garfield Sobers; Geoff Boycott; Jims Parks and Basil Butcher. The West Indies won the series 3-1.

Can anyone give me advice on what the bat may be worth and who i can contact about getting it valued/sold. I may be open to sensible offers and can be contacted on *number removed*, thanks Leigh.

Hmm, won't say it is too valuable at the moment, considering all 4 men are still alive. But then again, what do I know.

Wait until Sobers dies. It will be worth a lot then. I know that sounds horrible but I'm just trying to help you out.
