Help with Controllers

I have bought Cricket 2002 today but I can't get the game to accept my Microsoft SideWinder controller. I can only play the game with the keyboard. How do I change the choice of controller ?

have you tried going into options at the start and then clicking onto controls, in there click onto where it says keyboard with the left button mouse to pick what contoller you want to use. if this still wont work then ill meet ya in some chat room or something to explain another way of doing it. although by clicking on keyboard it should work. if this method worked for you, i was wondering if you could help me.

but on another note my 6 button gamepad dont work in 2k .
when i click on a button the change option barely flashes then go away.
cant change any buttons.
funny enough it worked fine in xp

are you guys desperate to get this problem sorted because i could probably help you but it will take alot of time to sort it, if both of you tell me what controllers you have, which player do you want which controller to go in, and which buttons you want to do what,. then i could probably sort ya out.
