I don't find the controls too hard. The control scheme is different from any other cricket game you might have played but once you play a couple of games, you would get comfortable with it.

The controls are easy to get used to but even in easy mode the game is very hard compared to your average cricket game. I think I've only got up to about 50 runs in total so far. Will work on it more though.

What a finish! A nail-biter to the very end. Well played to both teams, but in the end, there can be only one winner. Australia will breathe a sigh of relief after today's match and will be hoping to be more authoritative in the next one. The pitch was a bowler's graveyard and did not offer much assistance in the way of swing, seam or spin. These two teams were fairly evenly matched so it was tough to predict the outcome. That being said Australia proved to be the stronger in the end and snatched victory.

Playing in Career mode as a batting all-rounder who can't spin the ball.

I'm taking at least 2-3 wickets in the state junior 20/20 league. Got 5/12 one game.

Highest score so far is 5 with a total of 12 runs from 6 innings. The POV camera really does my head in. Is there any way to get the normal behind-the-bowler view when playing Career Mode?

As answered in the other thread - F10 should change the camera to broadcast!

Yeah it only changes it to behind the batsman, not the traditional broadcast (behind bowler) I'm afraid :'(

Yep, you are right. It should be number key 2 for broadcast. Various camera options available through number keys 1 to 5.

Indeed. This now works. Thank you (and everyone else who tried to help!) for the support. Thoroughly enjoying Cricket Heroes so far, although in Career my best score's 21 *sob* and in standard games the highest I've gotten is 49. I'll get there though.

Continued played, finally got some improved results. After getting my average in T20's to a stellar 12 (!!!) with a 24 from 31 and an unbeaten 45, I finally started playing the 45 over ODI comp with the NSW juniors.

Knocked up an unbeaten 88 from 89 balls in the first match to carry the team home to victory; took 4/19 to boot with my rubbish round-the-wicket arm balls. (The AI really struggles to put those away.)

Most of the runs, incidentally, came through cover or behind square on the leg side. The AI likes to leave those areas open (usually if you hit the ball well any close leg-side square fielders can't fully stop it so you'll always get one). Occasionally a short ball props up and you can pull it front of square for a single - there's typically a fielder at deep midwicket by then.

Ones that really scared me for a bit was outside off but short of a length. If you come forward you end up spooning it up. I've got to try and work more cut and late cuts into my game as well.

Still, having fun.
