It would be also wise to check which team will against which team and then making your guess who will progress to the semi-finals.

New Zealand will face the number one of Group A, probably West Indies as how the West Indies vs England is progressing. But the England innings is in the third over as I type this.

South Africa will face the number two of Group A, which will be either Australia vs India, if West Indies manages to win their match.

The English winning have complicated the finals now. Now run rate will come into play and whatever other stuff they use to separate teams.

Whoever wins the Australia vs India match, will be ranked first in the group, since West Indies have a lower net runrate then both these countries already. The winner of that match will gain a higher net runrate.

So it will be West Indies vs South Africa and New Zealand facing one of these teams.

Actually, not necessaily. If it is a low scoring game and a tight finish there is a chance. But you are right. Chances are WI will be facing SA and the winner of Ind/Aus vs NZ.

I think the first semi-final is on 1st Nov so the deadline should be till the time of the match right..It shows 42 hrs remaining...Is it a mistake or is the deadline a day before

It's just before the game starts, it'll be fixed when the 4th team is added or if one of the other FC staff decide to fix it.

I made up my team of Australia and South Africa and just one player of West Indies, since I think these teams will progress. It's a big gamble though.

And there are some mistakes in the allrounders' list: Mills and Bosman as allrounders?

wow you are taking a huge risk alright, especially as this whole series has thrown up shock result after result. I am inclined to go with 4 aussies, 3 SA, 2 WI and 2 kiwis.

sure aussie are strong favourites but nothing is set in stone.

that way ill have (likely) 7 players make the final..but at worst 4.

I somehow feel, Aussies are not going to reach finals... This time My team is the greatest gamble so far in my FC

6 South Africans 1 Australian 2 from Windies 2 from NZ!!! If SA win atleast the semi finals, then it wud be some gud for my team...else sure to be in bottom 5!!!

Yes, I too think that Aussies wont be in the Finals! And that bottom 5 place is reserved for me!
