Has BYJU pulled out of sponsoring the team? The reason I ask this- the women's team at the CWG seems to be playing without any sponsorship.

If BYJU has indeed pulled out, then why are we still sporting the jersey in the current WI series?

I think the ICC tournaments and soemthing like CWG doesn't allow front sponsors?

ICC tournaments do not allow for sure. What they do though is allow the sponsor to remain on the arm instead of the chest.

To the best of my knowledge, BYJU's contract comprised of all Indian cricket teams. Last heard, they extended the contract by another year i.e. until the end of the next year - CWC 2023.

I have been following some comments by the pundits lately and one question caught my attention
- Does KL Rahul deserve to walk back in the WT20 squad?

I personally feel that India have done exceedingly well without his stat-padding. Unless, he has a stellar Asia Cup+ Aus/SA series, I do not see a reason for him to be anywhere near the Indian setup. In terms of the slightly slower players- we have Kohli and Iyer(who is the designated backup to Virat). Don't see this changing. KLRin the mix means yet another keeping option is open. However, if Dhawan's fluency isn't attacking enough, wonder what they'll make KLR's batting?

Given how things stand and the plans for future of this Dravid era, I think it's safe to assume that he will indeed walk right back in.

I didn't bring this up earlier, but who else thinks it is an absolute joke of a decision to have 2 bilateral T20I series against South Africa in India in a span of 4 months?

It's absolutely ridiculous. I just tweeted about it. The logical way forth would have been to institute a tri-nation tournament, but NO!

Would have been far better to play this in Australia instead of playing in India. Wonder who's the brains behind this genius of an idea :facepalm2:

Since when has Dhawan been fluent in T20Is? The bloke can barely score in the mid 120s on half of his days. Rahul at the least strikes in the mid 130s on an decent day.

It’s also weird that we continually question Rahul’s spot when his numbers are still extremely solid both internationally and in the IPL. Neither Kohli (at the moment) nor Shreyas are as good as Rahul and are also much slower. This is the same Rahul that has been world-class in T20Is every year for India barring 2021 (which is still a solid year by the numbers). The main concern is that his slump internationally has been more recent but I suspect that his technique change for test cricket may also have something to do with it. We know that he can play aggressively and that he can also handle international quality attacks, something that our other alternatives have not shown. If anything he deserves to be dropped only if his fitness isn’t up to the mark. Otherwise he walks back into the side quite deservedly so.

Your question should be this -
- Does Virat Kohli deserve to walk back in the WT20 squad?

Everyone will pick Rahul over Kohli for the WT20 squad.

Even after all the hate I have for Rahul's captaincy, KL walks into the side for T20 and ODI's over Shreyas Iyer for sure. Iyer has got a nice long rope and has not set things on fire by his standard. I am a bigger fan of Iyer compared to KL and saddens me but that is the truth. Our XI for the WC will be

1. Rohit
2. KL Rahul
3. Virat Kohli
4. SKY
5. Rishbh Pant
6. Hardik Pandya
7. Ravindra Jadeja
8. Bhuvi
9. Chahal
10. Harshal Patel
11. Jasprit Bumrah

Other squad members : Ishan Kishan, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik,Mohammad Shami, Shardul Thakur

Unfortunately even with Kohli out of form, he is making the XI just like KL.

Shami and Thakur in the 15?

They haven't been part of any t20 series since last year.
