The bowlers have again put India in a strong position. Although I like the current bowling combination, I would be very tempted to bring in Bumrah at this stage.

I really hope our batsmen show up this time around and make this effort count.

What a day of cricket. This is the first time in a longg time I watched each and every delivery of a test match.

Our bowling was spot on and Rahane’s execution and tactics too. Mayank Agarwal got the best delivery he could have ever faced. That first over from Starc was something special. Although Gill was dropped, he has played fantastically so far and I really hope he can make it count big.

I actually wanted Gill to face Starc, Cummins and Josh. He kept his calm even though he missed quite a few. I am pretty sure, other batsman would have done somethjng stupid to score runs ans got out to some steamy Australian bowling.

Overall, what a day of cricket! Cannot wait for Day 2.

A rare day that completely belonged to the Indians!!! Excellent Captaincy and bowling to start off things first up. And a brilliant end to it by some classy strokes from Shubman Gill.

Literally everything we said before each test match has paid off. Even the move to play Siraj before Umesh in the first test was on the money!

We need to get 400. Slender leads will not mean much. It takes one innings to negate that.

Very happy that we are vindicated as a forum. It also shows the complete harakiri that has been going on with our team for 4+ years.

@Aalay I don't buy this nonsense that the leadership takes Kohli's game as a batsman to a new level. He was a beast pre captaincy as well which landed him the job. AND, if by chance the captaincy is a reason to bolster his batting, I will take a pre captaincy Kohli as batsman with another captain at the helm.
