Correct. I'd rather have Abhishekh Nayar. Not only is he a better batsman, he gives us a medium pace option.

I'd rather have Ravindra Jadeja :p but I know he should wait 1-2 years as he's a little too young right now. But just give him the odd chance to see if he's capable of doing it at this level.

Yusuf could be destructive on these small grounds. I say we judge him after this tour.

Jadeja has already impressed. I think he'll replaces Yusless soon.

The IPL will be huge. Hopefully the Pathans and Rohit Sharma will get scrapped.

Apparently there were signs of Irfan coming back in the last T20.

Having seen Nayar bowl, I doubt that he could take wickets at international level.

Yeah, exactly.

Also, I am very happy that Irfan has regained his old action to a certain degree. It's a good sign. Hoepfully I'm not being mislead. Just concentrate on your bowling now, Irfan. A bowler who can bat. A bowler who can bat. A bowler who can bat...

R jadeja should be playing today in place of R Sharma

Hope Ishi plays and India wins the toss, can't really take it as the T20 Wc are 3-0

Someone to get a ton from the Indian side, my prediction :cheers :upray

Someone needs to to get Irfan in the corner and tell him your job is to swing the ball. Not to bowl short balls at your pathetic pace. Please Please, these conditions are primarily for you. This is the last time I will ever support you Irfan. This tour can break (not make) or BREAK your career. You are a bowler who can bat. If you cant thrive under these conditions, then you are not fit to bowl anymore. Just retire, or keep playing useless T20s and Odis.

Tbh, from experience, short balls are not always deliberate.

Yes but at International level Bowlers should have enough control of their length, And Patha never used to bowl so many short balls in his 'Glory days'.

I would have Ravindra Jadeja too... He can do the big hits (he showed it), he is a much better spinner than Yusuf, and he is one of the most brilliant fielders among the youngsters today whereas Yusuf cant actually be classified as brilliant.

Jadeja is not in the ODI team. He came only for the T20's (unless they retained him back for the ODI's)

Irfan's reached the 140's in this tour already, in the T20's. That's at least 15 k's better than his average speed over the last 2-3 years. This is essentially Irfan's last chance to get in.

As for Yusuf, I still think everyone's being unfair to him. He may be inconsistent--but so is Sehwag. He's still adapting to the international game and one can say that he has fared much better than Rohit Sharma, thus far. He could be a great finisher when setting targets with the ball older and the grounds small in New Zealand.
