Why does Rajasthan want to shoot itself in the foot everytime? Robin and Jos should be opening and not Ben. Smith, Ben, Samson what a middle order they could have.[DOUBLEPOST=1603123114][/DOUBLEPOST]
More like take attention from entire team. Not just Dhoni!

Scott Styris mentioned that they want Stokes to face the new ball rather than getting mired in the middle overs with everything slowing down.

As for Dhoni, at least most of the other regulars have contributed in one game at the very least. The ones who haven't done so have been dropped at various points through the season. The only constant has been Dhoni and it is infuriating with how he has been immune to criticism from the fans, media and commentators involved in the IPL just due to reputation.

Really puzzled by Rajasthan's headless chicken approach in all games till now from all of their openers.

The curious case of Jadhav is kind of classic MSD though - he just backs out of form players till it gets ridiculous. It has happened before as well when he was Indian captain

I agree, atleast ones who have not performed have been dropped at some given point. I think for CSK fans, they should just enjoy the small moments that they get like the Dhoni catch, Raydu's inning last match, Jaddu's form. You guys will not see wins, because this team will not win you matches.

Next year, you will have to rebuild from scratch. I am sure Dhoni, Faf, Watto, Tahir are not going to be around. Dhoni will still be part of CSK as Sachin was for MI post his retirement.

I think if CSK is smart, they should build a team around Kane Williamson. He is a good captain, will be around for years and continue buidling the fan base.

Honestly this should have been Dhoni's last IPL but now due to the mega auctions likely being postponed by a year, he has to endure another IPL. Completely out of his depths, and how! Honestly the pain has been exacerbated because people just refuse to believe that the man has lost it all. His captaincy has gone down the hill rapidly, his stubborn-ness has kept increasing to annoying levels and the performance of CSK this season has been a reflection of how out of depth Dhoni has been. And I am daring to say this - Raina and Harbhajan would not have saved CSK at all this season. Both of these guys are almost as old as most players in this side and did not play competitive cricket for months/years before this IPL started. Harbhajan is in his 40's and is not exactly Imran Tahir. And Raina with that messed up brain that he had at the start of the season, would have been even worse than some of the guys that have played here.

This meltdown was expected when CSK picked the side that they picked. But they surprised us with a title and a runner's up spot. I am sure CSK critics can have heave a sigh of relief and say "Well, I told you so.....".

This season and next season is a write off. I wonder what will happen to the likes of Fleming. Honestly CSK management need a rethink on him as to whether he should continue beyond 2021. Maybe give the head coach responsibility to Michael Hussey and let him build his own coaching staff. Cant just let Fleming stay on forever, if CSK are really serious about getting back on track quickly

P.s: Jadeja the bowler has fallen down spectacularly. So much so that Dhoni hides him whenever possible and when he is given the ball, he is thrashed EVERY.SINGLE.TIME . Jadeja cannot be considered a "specialist bowler" anymore. He is a batsman who can bowl at times.

He is getting more and more stubborn. This is not the same Dhoni of 2008 ipl.
Jadeja does not look like a proper batsman. Rightly said, his bowling has also sunk.

I reckon I could endure another IPL if I'm being paid ₹15 crore

Well... you are not Dhoni, are you? :p I spoke about enduring it from the fan point of view.

And the audacity of Dhoni to say in the post match show that "we didn't see as much of a spark in the youngsters". Where do they see these sparks? In the nets? Do they even have a process of watching domestic cricket intently to see who are the guys who have the potential to come up through the ladder? For a team that has made "experience" as the single buzz word, it hurts to hear someone like Dhoni take a U-turn and now say "we didn't see as much of a spark in the youngsters". Ruturaj Gaikwad is among the top leading scorers in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy). Ruturaj was used badly this IPL. Completely out of place and discarded after two failures. Sai Kishore is among the top bowlers in the same tournament. Jagadeesan punched way above his weight in the one chance he was given this IPL. And yet, the comment on "not much of a spark".

He is getting more and more stubborn. This is not the same Dhoni of 2008 ipl.

Nope. Jadeja indeed looks like a proper batsman now. Even today, he came in and looked effortless on many balls. And we saw in the previous games how he turns on the dial. He is another guy who like Faf is turning to be "I need to get set and I can turn the dial effortlessly to any levels". If he is treated as a proper batsman, he can relieve CSK of Kedar Jadhav.

Then I would say you have not known Dhoni. He is no Tendulkar. I am a huge Tendulkar fan but I have no shame to accept that Tendulkar did play more to get the same amount of reputation he had for years and the fans definitely made him more emotional to continue playing. While Dhoni is someone who never cared about such things. He just wanted to build sides that can believe in themselves and their experience. Dhoni was born to lead and not to survive. He would definitely step down for the good of any team. I still think he should be there for one more year just to build a side for the future before the mega auctions.

What a heap of crap and sheer disrespect oozing from what can only be described as a desperate fan. Nothing else and I dare to say this that if you are not allowed one bad year or season or day at the office then please become the PM of India as this country badly needs it. Better still, try becoming the pope.

How do you know MS’ time is up? Or Raina? Because they’re aged? Who are you to write the timeline on anyone’s career or hell who the hell is anyone?

Look at what the likes of Roger Federer and Tiger Woods have achieved at their age. To hell with sports! Have you heard of Felix Baumgartner? He jumped from the edge of space at the age of 46. Such boundaries are only drawn by the human mind. If you say today that Gayle is done, I can understand as he’s simply not fit. Have you seen MS or Raina or Harbhajan? Oh and the dig at Harbhajan!!! He’s NO Imran Tahir, he’s Harbhajan Singh and you would do well to see who’s done better at IPL or international cricket. Take a look at the training regime Raina was in during lockdown. He was spending close to 6 hours yearning to wear yellow again.

It’s a pandemic and the balance of this side was always going to be squashed once two gun players pulled out. Their death specialist has been injured for majority of the season and it’s a testament to MS that one bad season calls for his curtain to be pulled down.

Only one person will decide when MS is done. MS.

Passion for some franchise is good but running a disrespectful rant on people that have bought the tri-colour glory is shameful and you should do better than that.

Wait. Wait. Wait. When did I devalue Dhoni or Raina's tri-color achievements? Are you daydreaming things or what?

There's a lot that I want to reply to this, but that last line makes me feel if it is even worth replying. I am thinking about taking a backseat here. I don't have to prove my passion for CSK, Dhoni and Chennai. I will be this person who criticizes the heck of the team and MS and yet next day, I am back watching/following them. But none of the words I posted in that post that you quoted, are wrong. They're my opinion based on the season that has panned out for CSK. And I am not alone. CSK fans on social media are all saying the same thing. Neutrals on social media are saying the same too (even more harsher than the fans, actually).
