Sam Curran so good, so good :')

As you yourself mentioned, LSG owners will not stand up for this kind of nonsense for long. KL will be dropped if he continues this way.

Rahul' s replacement wouldn't be a worry for Lucknow, if they know they aren't going to make it with him at the helm.

They can sack him as their captain but they aren’t gonna drop him from the playing XI, that’s up to the sporting side of the team and no team coach or mentor is dropping their leading run scorer even if he’s striking at around 110.

Rahul’s replacement has to be a worry. They have six, maybe seven (if you include one of Mayers or Stoinis in here) players who you’d call as primarily batters. Their squad was simply not built with the intention of dropping him and unless they significantly rejig their side to balance it they may not find success with it. Personally don’t mind if they don’t for obvious reasons.

On s serious note can't really blame that much on young man some incredible hitting this from Punjab batters.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Jitesh in the role we created for DK over the past year as a pure hitter who comes in and smacks bowlers around at the death while Hardik and Jadeja/Axar focus more on the consolidation part in the middle order.

I second this. In fact, I did put forward the point last month in a different thread but there wasn't anyone supporting the thought. Few more shwashbuckling knocks from Jitesh and everyone would start beating the drum for him as if they were his die hard fans lol

Though I think there is no reason for us look beyond Ishan, Bharat, Sanju and of course Pant (when fit) for the keeper's role, does anyone make anything for Jitesh Sharma for T20Is? The guy is very aggressive batsman and can keep good as well. Can be handy for a finisher's role when Hardik seems to be changing his batting technique to bat more responsibly rather than pinch hitting - something that Dhoni did after he was at the helm of the team. Jaddu/Axar cannot be relied upon to score swift runs most of the times even in T20Is so I think Jitesh can be used the way RCB used Karthik.

The numbers 4,5,6,7 of Sky, Hardik, Jitesh and Jaddu/Axar looks formidable with Shaw/Ishan and Gill at the top and Virat at #3.

Obviously if Rishabh is fit, he walks in to replace Jitesh and bats at #4 or #5.

Two amazing matches today, one for the sheer nonsensical display by the side in 'snatching defeat from the jaws of victory'. That game is so inexplicable that it'll be talked about for quite a long time. Especially with the captain's words of "I dont know how that happened...". New addition to IPL folklore! :lol:facepalm:rolleyes
