The Entrance to SCG.​

Well, I and Watto along with Binga and Dwayne went to see the proceedings at SCG while the practice match for the local players was going on.

Binga introduced me and Dwayne to all the officials present there and we were invited to have a cup of tea.

I was amused to see the preparations going on at that moment.
I had a small chat with the officials about the Opening ceremony and they said that they were going to make it 20 minutes show.
We had a cup of tea and some biscuits were offered which we took.
Then, Binga took us three to his residence.
We went there and spent for 1/2 an hour as we din't had much time to spend.
Binga took us to each and every room and it took nearly 20 minutes to have a look at his brand new house.

Then, we went back to our rooms at ANZ stadium and at the time of supper, Mr Mott came up and started asking out Nick Names and Jersey Numbers for printing on our jerseys.
I opted my nickname on my shirt.
It was "BINNU" and the Jersey number was "7".

Then, I had a chat with Ritzy on next days practice for which, we decided not to practice more the next day as the Bulls were to come up tomorrow early in the morning.
He even said that the final line up will be decided on next day for the first match and he said that we'll be going for a pitch test, the following day morning.
Only few members were scheduled to attend that as testing pitch curation is not a small process.
Of course, I even din;t knew what was what but when I said Ritzy about it, he said that he even din't knew what was what.

So, a day, where I stepped on SCG, and went to Binga's Brand new residence came to an end.
I was feeling sleepy and went to room where Hedger was waiting for me to close the door and sleep.

Pitch Examining.
The next day morning, we got ready for pitch examining. But Dwayne Smith din't even woke up. When we asked the security, he replied that he was totally drunk when he returned to Stadium and as a proof, we even had some spy cams showing that he was drunk.
He was roaming on roads with Lara Bingle's sister, Rachel Bingle late night upto 3 AM(AEST).
The management looked into the matter seriously and ,myself, with Binga Watto and Hauritz went to examine the pitch.
The Pitch was curated by Mr Blake under the guidance of Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden and Glenn McGrath. The pitch was a bouncy one and a good one to have on a bat. I thought that I was lucky as I had my home ground of KFC T20 Bigbash as a batting surface.
Brett Lee was a happy person after seeing his home pitch in that style and We had test overs for testing that pitch before the actual game.
Adam Gilchrist took the strike and McGrath took the ball.
Gilly punishes McGrath for a boundary in the first ball:hpraise and the next ball, Gilly gets out.
Then, Matthew Hayden takes the strike and Binga gets geared up with the ball.
Whoomp. Hayden punishes for sixes...:hpraise
I was given bat and it was Hauritz Bowling.
Eek. Out.facepalm
On first ball.:laugh
Then, we had a our lunch at SCG with Tournament officials and when we were back to ANZ stadium, Dwayne Smith was found with his luggage and an air ticket.:laugh

He spoke out,"Good luck guys, hope you win it.".
He went away and the officials announced that "ANDREW FLINTOFF" will be replacing him.:banana2

Line Up Selection:
Well, Hauritz and coach Mott were discussing deeply about the selection of playing XI. I interrupted between them as I had some experience in such situations when we were discussing about our line up in IPL, CLT20, Ranji Trophy and Challengers Trophy. Mr Mott told me to help them in that matter for which I agreed. Freddie was to arrive after the first match. So, we won't be having him for the first game. Ste was performing well. Hedger was doing well, Hughes was absent as he was in his national duties, Watto was bit unfit.
So, we decided a tentative line up. David Warner along with myself to open, followed by Dominic Thronley, followed by Hedger, followed by Ben Rohrer, Followed by Moises Henereques, followed by Dan Smith Followed by Ste Smith, followed by Hauritz, Brett Lee and finally Nathan Bracken.
It was still tentative as we din't know who is the one to get injured at any moment.
So, the tiring day finally came to desk. We had supper and Slept.

I agree.

I wish people took time out to read Short_Leg's amazing story before starting their own career stories. Then maybe we would get less unrealistic stories clogging up the forum before they end a few weeks later.
