Installation Error

Just purchased brand new copy on ebay and trying to install on my PC but getting "No Language Configured" error message. Checked language settings on my PC and all is ok English(Australian). System is:

Have you got Steam installed already?

The disc version installs via Steam, so it might be easiest to download Steam and install it- set up an account and then try to run the installer off the disc. If you don't mind the 2GB download, you can also just type the code that would have been in the box into the 'Activate A Product On Steam' option in the Games menu of steam.

Sorry should have said i do already have Steam installed. Unfortunately due to location and internet restrictions i dont have the quota to use which is why i prefer to purchase hard copy. I have reinstalled steam and that seems to have fixed the problem. Many thanks and i hope this will help anyone else that comes across this problem.
