I will be using this thread to post potted scores and match reports from various cricket games played using dice and cards.
Most of the matches will be played with Lambourne Games excellent International Cricket game, using IC Helper to simulate games on pc.
Owing to the difficulty attaching photos and scorecards on the Planetcricket website, full scorecards and match reports including photos and statistical reviews may be found on this thread's dedicated blog over at blogspot.com.au

International Cricket - Dice and Cards

For now I will post only potted scores on the planetcricket website.

The first full international tour I will cover is a Pakistan tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa in 1985/6.
This will be played using only officially carded players, which will result in Zimbabwe and South Africa using mostly 1991/2 era players who were active in First Class or List A cricket in 1985/6.

Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe for 3 Tests, and 5 ODIs, followed by 5 Tests and 7 ODIs in South Africa.

Tour preview and match reports to follow, though you can find full details of the early tour matches and previous matches I have played using IC on the blog.

Pakistan tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa 1985/6 - Tour Preview

Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe and South Africa in 1985/6 for Test and ODI series v both nations, and a number of First Class and List A tour games.
The Pakistanis were a major force in world cricket at the time, but I expected a strong South African side to challenge them.
The Pakistanis selected a large squad, based on players active at international level in 1985/6 or shortly before or after.
Lead by Javed Miandad, the batting looks particularly strong, with allrounders Imran Khan and Wasim Akram featuring in a strong lower order.
Spinners Abdul Qadir and Tauseef Ahmed give the bowling attack a strong and balanced look, with Iqbal Qasim to back them up if either should falter.
Zimbabwe will be reliant on the experienced Dave Houghton and John Traicos, though a young Andy Flower, playing his first season at top level, may be one to watch if he can force his way into the side with runs in the tour games.
Zimbabwe will also be boosted by the appearance of future England batsman Graeme Hick, playing the last of his representative matches for Zimbabwe in the 1985/6 season.
This should at least give the Zimbabweans a chance, though the fact 80's stars Kevin Curran and Peter Rawson never played Test cricket and are thus uncarded and unavailable weakens the home team slightly.
The South African side features alltime great batsman Graeme Pollock, and will be captained by opener Jimmy Cook.
With me allowing former Australian batsman Kepler Wessels to join the side after leaving the Australian team after the 1st Test v New Zealand in 1985/6, the batting has a solid look.
The bowling will be lead by Allan Donald, with Fanie de Villiers expected to be his main pace support.
Allrounders Adrian Kuiper and Brian McMillan give the side balance and a strong look.

Pakistan squad:
Mudassar Nazar, Mohsin Khan, Rizwan-uz-Zaman, Shoaib Mohammad, Rameez Raja, Mansoor Akhtar, Qasim Omar, Javed Miandad (c), Zaheer Abbas, Saleem Malik, Imran Khan (vc), Ashraf Ali (wk), Saleem Yousuf (wk), Anil Dalpat (wk), Manzoor Elahi, Naved Anjum, Wasim Akram, Tahir Naqqash, Abdul Qadir, Tauseef Ahmed, Iqbal Qasim, Zakir Khan, Mohsin Kamal, Sikander Bakht, Azeem Hafeez

Zimbabwe available players:
K.J.Arnott, A.H.Shah, G.A.Hick, A.J.Pycroft (c), D.L.Houghton (wk), A.C.Waller, A.Flower (wk), W.R.James (wk), I.P.Butchart, M.G.Burmester, E.A.Brandes, D.H.Brain, A.J.Traicos, A.C.I.Lock, M.P.Jarvis

South Africa available players:
S.J.Cook (c), A.C.Hudson, K.C.Wessels, M.W.Rushmere, P.N.Kirsten, R.G.Pollock, D.J.Cullinan, A.P.Kuiper, B.M.McMillan, D.J.Richardson (wk), P.L.Symcox, O.Henry, P.S.de Villiers, C.E.Eksteen, A.A.Donald, M.W.Pringle

M.J.Proctor played first class cricket up to 1988/9, but did not play during the 1985/6 season so is unavailable for the international games.

Zimbabwe 'B' v Pakistanis - 3 day First Class match - Harare - Match Report

Toss: Pakistanis

Pitch: 72

A magnificent hundred by Dave Houghton took them close, but with the score 180/9 and 4 required for victory and he dramatically edged a swinging Manzoor Elahi delivery.

Pitch: 72

Toss: Zimbabwe

With experienced batsmen Javed Miandad and Zaheer Abbas missing through injury, Pakistan went into this match with looking vulnerable.
With the pitch unlikely to offer offspinner Tauseef Ahmed much joy, seamer Mohsin Kamal was preferred for the final bowling spot in the Pakistani lineup.
Zimbabwe were full strength, though youngster Andy Flower, despite good form in the tour games, was left out after his failure in the ODI.
Zimbabwe batted first in good batting conditions, but Mohsin Kamal with 4-57 and Mudassar Nazar with 3-20 caused problems with their swing.
