Your Cricket Is it more of an advantage as a batsman being small or tall?

tall players can play the bouncers though. Smaller players have the disadvantage of getting hit when a bouncer occurs. For a taller batsmen, it would be chest height

Ya Tendulkar,Ponting ,Lara they all are small but I don't think hight gives some advantages to them..
We have tall Batsman also KP,Gayle,Hayden,Gilly.

It seems like the tall players Gilly, Symonds, Hayden, KP all have big shots while the small players sneak the runs in well.

nowadays its such a batsman ruled game that being small is an advantage what with the bowlers not being allowed to bowl bouncers and such

No one has a disadvantage. Look at Hayden, Inzi, Oram, Fulton, etc, they aremall pretty tall and good. It's a co-incidence that most South Asian players are shorter then Aussies, Saffies or Kiwis. I don't know why, but I suspect its something to do with the fitness regime that they follow.

No, its natural some countries people are taller some countries people are smaller.

All the great players are basically short so definitely no advantage.
The only thing I notice is that the taller players are bigger hitters.

Its easy to bowl at short guys. They are easy target to hit.

from experience as i am fairly tall. 6foot something. if the ball isnt coming onto the bat and staying low than tall guys have no chance. if the pitch is good and there is bounce the tall guys love it. maybe thats why they are big hitters as the pitches alow them to be. but my opinion; small = batter, tall = fast bowler

Wouldn't it be easier to hit taller batsman as they are a bigger target?
