They reached the finals of both the World Cups and they even won it last year. It seems that they'll make it to the finals third time in a row.

So hence the question ; Is Pakistan the best Twenty20 team?

My Answer : Yes.

Yes and no? Once they get lucky enough to get into the semis they become unstoppable unless India is on the way.

They're easily the most consistent T20i side in major tournaments. On paper I wouldn't say they're the best side though. The batting is very hit and miss, and without Gul the death bowling isn't quite as impressive as it was in the last T20 WC. Certainly one of the strongest sides in the world.

No, they are Pakistan. They will always be unpredictable. No side can claim to be master of T20 format. Anyone can win it on its day.

Obviously the most successful and pretty dam good at peaking at the right stage. Got done by a miracle by Hussey today or who knows they could have gone back to back.

Hard to say who is the best T20 side as teams can win at any given point. We are a missing a spinner plus Watson's bowling has been very average of late. And the death bowling is very inconsistent. Those are the 3 things keeping as from being the complete package. Well that and getting rid of Clarke.
