Issues with gamepads!

Damn this game can be good at times, and **** at others! I was until yesterday running a PS2 controller through a USB adaptor to play this game, that stopped working so I went out and bought a Saitek P2500 Rumble force gamepad. But now the damn game doesnt even recognise it! I really am fed up, I've tried everything and anything I can think of to fix this! Any tips would be gratefully recieved.

I am mad! This problem is back. I have it fixed. I reboot the game doesnt see the controllers. But every other game does. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON EA?
