Have joined. If you want to make it more popular, begging will work to an extent, but you need something unique there. I'm sure most PlanetCricket members were attracted by the huge amount of downloads availiable. There are too many forums to go if people want to just talk. Find a purpose.

Just a suggestion but the best way to get moderators is not to offer positions to the first members to join, this actually makes me think I wont join as you dont know how good the mods will be. If its only a small forum you dont need mods to start with and can soon workout who is good enough to be a mod as required.

The thing is, 20 mods won't have anything to do if theres no normal users. Bit of overkill if you have about 3 users as well.

How does the cricket fantasy league work? Are there any rewards or prizes?

And also, it's one thing to get people to join but a completely different thing to ensure people keep coming back. You must find a way to keep your members active.

Don't be desperate, build up your forum slowly and reward loyal members. I noticed that you've many boards with 0 posts in them, delete them for the time being as plainly no one is interested on using them. You should first focus on getting members and to get some discussions going (controversial topics won't hurt ) and then divide the board into categories on the basis of what's most popular.

Best way to build a community is to stay active at other, popular forums and make friends there and then jointly set up a new forum on a common interest. In such a scenario 2,3 or 4 people are out there trying to hustle members and not just one.
