There was absolutley no need to do that.
Dinesh Karthick could have taken his place.

And what would've Karthik done ? Just warmed the benches most likely, since Dhoni is going to the first choice wicket keeper without a doubt.

Kaif is experienced and it is surely a matter of time till he regains his touch. Don't forget he's got the knack of playing a crucial innings when it really matters. Anyway, he saves some 20-30 runs in the field even when he's not scoring, so all the more reason to retain him.

Yes, no need for Kaarthick if you are gonna pick only 15 members in the squad. We need 7 bowlers and 7 batsmen. So one keeper is enough.

Kaif should be lucky to retain his place. May be this might be his last chance for redemption at the Windies. If he continues his bad run, well he has to be dropped!

Also Utthappa can be a handy wicketkeeper.

he shouldn't feel lucky. He deserves to be in the squad, yes he has failed in the last 10 matches but so did Sehwag, for over a year now!

Kaif was the best ODI player for some time in the past. He should concentrate more on staying in the crease for a longer time.

Even if he's dropped, its just a temporary break for him...he's going to be an important player in both forms for the future.
