West Indies 7 for 352 (Lara 202*) v Australia

A slow, cautious start was shed for an approach bordering on recklessness before Brian Lara finally settled into his groove and stroked a double century that lit up Adelaide. He ended the day on 202, just 11 short of Allan Border's decade-old runs tally. West Indies finished at 352 for 7, a total shaped by Lara. That the innings came in what is possibly his last Test in Australia made it all the more poignant.
