Limited Over Difficulty

Hey, this is probably your typical first post, but I need a bit of help.

On limited over matches, especially 50 and 20 overs (I don't tend to do 10 overs) I am finding it really difficult to actually score the runs, the fielders are right in the centre of the field and therefore if you hit it using X, it only goes a short distance, where as if I go for a big hit (I tend to use O for this) I always get caught out!!! Is there a way around this? Surely there is, when I bowl to them they always play the same shots but it actually works for them.

Jake i had a similar problem when 1st started playing.
best tips i can offer you is practise your timing and look for gaps in the field also dont go for the big shots until your batsman has been at the crease for a while or wickets will just tumble.
persevere you will get there. maybe practise in test match mode where you have more space to play your shots.
