Leg-spinner Stuart MacGill, the leading wicket-taker in one-day domestic history, may have played his last one-day match for New South Wales.

MacGill, who has 124 wickets from 62 matches at an average of 22.36, has announced he will stand aside from the Blues' one-day team in order to give Nathan Hauritz and Jason Krejza a chance to press their claims for selection in Australia's World Cup squad.

Great stuff from MacGill, gives Hauritz a good chance to press for Aussie ODI selection. Hes a handy batter and his bowling has been tight while taking wickets. Krejza had a ripper last game hopefully he continues that.

Macgill is one of our best bowlers , so they can play Hauritz and Macgill adn leave out Krezza, Thats i think should have happened but its his choice

Hes out best spinner easily but he isn't really going to win a WC spot so I see what hes doing. Not a huge loss in the OD arena as we go alright without him.
