Currently, England have two openers who cannot consistanly get England off to a 100/1 off 25 overs steady start nor can they smash more than 70 runs in the powerplays. I do not think that England need to or have to ring in the changes but I do believe that there should be the clear target for one of these from the start of the innings.
Also, Fletches has been criticised somewhat for encouraging scoring behind square, it is a fair tactic, but it must be used to consistantly milk runs off decent bowling instead of getting a single, once an over. I question if the tactic is good for the England team who usually rely on scoring in the V or directly square of the wicket. I believe that rather than imposing this behind the wicket scoring, the batsman should ADD this to their repitoir to score 6 an over off good bowling.
