Hey
I've decided that I might buy a new bat prior to my season in India in July. I think I can spend up to 140 US (Roughly 70 pounds). What bat should I get and where (online) can I get it?

Try Cricket Direct or Cricket Supplies, there pretty good and have quick delivery and competitive pricing. I'm not sure if they ship worldwide though. Check out there websites and i'm sure it will say.

ive ordered from cricket direct before and their not very successfull i ordered gray nicholls stuff last season and it came....but it was all wrong and the bat i ordered was a longbow but i got a GN rapier which snapped in half bout 2 months later. also my mate ordered stuff from their and it took about a month to get to him

try barrington sports its got good stuff and takes less than a week to be delivered in most cases

I was going to say Barrington Sports, although i have never used it so cannot comment. I hear its quite good though! There is another one but i can't remember the name

How good are Puma bats, never used one?

Well the experience i have had with Puma bats around the affordable region is not good. If you want a Puma bat with a good middle you need to buy the ballitic 5000 or 6000.

The Charlie French Advance, I believe it's called, was named the Wisden best bat for 2007 and is very cheap compared to most. Might be quite difficult to get hold of though.

Don't buy online.
You can't be sure of the quality. To get a decent bat you need to go into a shop, pick it up, make sure it feels right and the weight is good, then check the grain.
Bats are the one thing I will never buy over the internet.
You might get a good bat, but your more than likely to get a piss poor piece of wood. It's better to check the bat out for yourself.

Buy a Slazenger, they are reliable and have good wieghts and almost always have a fantastic middle, good for "wristy" players, who like to play on the legside.

I like VKS (http://www.vks.com/), the site is not the easiest to get around but there is a lot of equipment and they will deliver overseas...

Double his budget though.
