if the title was "best technique" then sure but this says "most aggressive" so why is everyone turning this into the best batsman thread?

Have you ever seen Kevin Pietersen bat? Just because he doesn't hit 4 sixes an over doesn't mean he doesn't hammer the bowlers! He dominates them for much longer than Afridi who only lasts for 20 overs max (i won't even get drawn into this debate)

The thing is eery has a differnt angle on aggresive intent, i'd say Afridi was Aggresive wereas Pietersen is controlled anger.

Look at Afridi, he spots the ball and swings his arms with full force, if he makes contact, its flies, if not, usually his offstump does.

KP thinks about it, he knows how and when to hit bowlers with a hard smack of willow on leather, he knows what will get there back up, be it a crazy reverse sweep for 6, such as Murali and the great My My from the commentator, or be it the baseball type hook off Mcgrath in 2005, each one is in anger, but not aggresion, i count most aggresion to be a bit mindless, wereas anger is controlled, if handled well which KP is one of the best at!

The most Aggressive person doesn't have to be a batsman. Nel is too aggressive, the ICC should give him a ban or two to straighten him out. He swears at the batsman ffs.

Nel plays the game to win, and it is his way of playing with the batsmen, im afraid if a batsmen cant handle a few strong words hes in the wrong job, Nel is apperently a good solid bloke off the field, but is a competitive, win it for your team kind of guy, and i have no worries about him!

yes KP is Aggresive but we are talking about THE MOST Aggresive batman
and for me it had to be Shahid Afridi he just hit the ball really far like the one when he hit the six off symonds

I've seen Hayden nail a few through the covers better than any other batsmen, I'm not saying that the are technically good shots but he really does through the bat through them...

Pietersen's aggresion is not measured by how far he can hit the ball. It's the fact that when he gets in (most of the time) he can hit boundaries pretty much at will.

If he ever lasts for 20 overs...Thats the last thing the opposition would want! He get the hell out of the other team and no other player can do that! He will score atleast 140 in those 20 overs!
