When I read the title of the thread the first thing in my mind came up up the 'polo' ground in Pakistan. BBC actually made a documentary about it.

I remember also a New Zealand cricket ground (I think someone posted already the picture of it), where people are sitting next to the boundary line. And that's how cricket should be. People enjoying cricket. A bit shameful that some cricket grounds have to be guarded with fences, which are supposed to protect the players on the ground.

Everyone goes on about how NZ cricket grounds are so good, but our main city which holds a third of our population doesn't even have a test venue. :facepalm

Queenstown would have to be the best in the world though.
I've always remembered that picture Riz posted a page back with the plane in the background, ever since I first saw it.

This is where the first ever successful 300+ ODI run chase happened.

A bump of a good and worthy topic. That's certainly a very nice ground.

I've got a game here next season (if it stops raining):

This ground fascinates me the most. I am not sure if i can get that picture but a helicopter shot of this stadium would give a great picturesque on keeping in mind this one is right in the middle of a busy city.

Its just a shame the boundaries are barely 50m makes it a bit of a farce.

I've played on grounds like that. Mind you it probably has more grass roots level games on it. Then again I've played on grounds where they haven't even been bothered to take down the goalposts

Was at the HPCA (Dharamshala) Stadium a few days back. Undoubtedly the most beautiful cricket stadium I have ever seen.

Unfortunately the mountains weren't much visible due to excess fog on that day.

I know it's my local but it really is a rather ugly looking ground (apart from the floodlights).

Why is that pavilion made out of LEGO?

*makes the sound you make when you're friend's crush walks by*

I can't say I know what that sound is...
