MUSHTAQ AHMED, quietly influential in Pakistan?s dressing-room without bowling a ball in the series, will soon be given a new role as assistant to Bob Woolmer, the coach, as Pakistan seek to build on their greatest Test triumph against England since they won for the first time at the Oval in 1954. Their third innings win over England and their first 2-0 home success was achieved in front of a fervent crowd on Saturday after a sensational burst of wickets by Shoaib Akhtar and Danish Kaneria

Regarding Mushtaq, I must say that he is very unlucky not to have played for Pakistan for so long. His only rea success was in the 92 WC and after that he has been here and there. Not sure what is his county record and his capabilities as a bowling coach are questionable. This bowling coach thing is becoming the latest fashion for modern day cricket.
