Let the pictures tell you the story -

A pathetic performance against the Aussies heading to the World Cup followed by unconvincing displays in the World Cup especially against the minnows, thrown out to the dogs against the Windies, the England side post the World cup are no more than a joke to the world of spectators. The entire board of directors resign, Strauss resigns as captain, etc, etc, etc. So, what happens next ?
After several days of scouting, the down-in-confidence England players roll the dice over and call upon for the appointment of Haarithan to the ECB Chairman's post. Gleefully having accepted the offer, he immediately proposes a crisp, short and a sweet tri-series tournament in an effort to raise the ODI standards of English cricket. He names it the 'Natwest Challenge Series'.
Format
50 overs (OD) cricket
Simulator
Syedur Rehman's Cricksim
Points System
4 points for a win, 2 points for a tie and 0 points for a loss.
Additional 1 Bonus point is awarded to the winning side if:
1. It chases down a target within 40 overs.
2. It wins a game batting first by bowling out its opposition.
Format of the Championship
It basically involves the pattern of a typical Commonwealth Bank series where each team plays the other two teams four times before the top two sides face each other in a best of three final.
Total number of games = 15(max) or 14(min)
Squad rules
After a nightmarish World Cup 2011, Haarithan feels that only few England players deserve themselves to be retained into the limited overs setup and thus disables those players from making themselves available for selection to this tournament. The players are -
Andrew Strauss - despite being a poor captain, he tops the chart with the most runs in the WC until the group stages.
Jonathan Trott - incredible consistency leaves Haarithan with no choice but to retain him.
Eoin Morgan - a lovely match winner in Morgan was what England had lacked over the years.
Graeme Swann - ECB cricketer of the year, the world's best spinner, enough said.
Stuart Broad - Eoin Morgan with the ball.
Apart from these 5, the 3 sides namely England Red, Blue & Green will need to have 15 players in their squad who will be recruited by the general method of drafts. Important thing to note is that the three sides can also sign players who are non-English and eligible enough to represent England. You guys should know the players I'm talking through.
