England off to a good start at Cardiff

10 overs: It's a bright and sunny day here at Cardiff, much in contrast with the weather we had yesterday as England start well in the 4th odi. Trescothick looked in fine touch once again and provided an ideal start for England. Solanki the only man out, went for a quick single but found just short on a direct hit by Hayden for 15. England 64 for 1.

Oh no,England off to a good start :(

50 for Trescothick as England pile on the runs
20 Overs: Reaction of Aussies supporters present at the ground says it all as England are moving towards a big score. Trescothick continued his dream run (50 off 54) and looks set for a big one. Vaughan (26) the only man out c&b Hogg. Aussies have looked bit out of sorts here not helped by the lapses by keeper and outfielders. England 136 for 2.

30 Overs: Australia made a good comeback since the last update. England were only able to score 27  runs in last 10 overs thanks to some good bowling by the spinners backed by good field placings and bowling changes by Ponting. England also suffered a setback when Strauss was out trying to increase the tempo for 20. England 163 for 3.

Another 100 for Trescothick as England move towards a good total
Trescothick hit another fine 100 (140 balls, 15 4s), his 3rd of the series and together with Pietersen moved England in a good position at the end of 40 overs. For Australia Symonds bowled a fine spell of 10-1-33-1 to keep things tight in the middle overs. With last 10 overs to go England will be looking to get somewhere around 280. England 217 for 3.

Australia chase 268 to win

England reached 267 for 9 at the end of their 50 overs. Trescothick the highest scorer with 117, well supported by Pietersen and Vaughan. Australia must feel happy the way they came back in last 30 overs, spinners doing well and well supported by fielders as England batsmen found it hard to clear the ropes  The inning was not without controversy as Flintoff received a horrible lbw decision when replys confirmed the ball actually hit his arm! :noway but that apart, home fans were once again treated to another superb 100 by Trescothick who was responsible for guiding them to a good total.

So Can England defend this total on a track which is offering plenty of turn, or will the Aussie batsmen square the series? To a good contest in prospect here at Cardiff.
