Sorry for the wait mate, how much ever I tweak I always seem to be a bit unhappy with some settings :p

Anyways the attached patch should play very well even when we bowl. Also attached is the field setup and Australia team file. Install them as well and good luck with the game. Look forward eagerly to score updates.

Rain Delays Start of Play at Manchester

We had some rain at Manchester this morning and as a result there will be some delay in start of play. Umpires are scheduled to do an inspection in 30 min.
But while you wait for the match to start, here is a chance to enjoy England's successful run chase in the 2nd odi.

S, the video file is the first ODI one and not the 2nd ODI chase?

This is rubbish. England suck, they beat Australia once since 1998 and you think they could be 2 up in the series. England couldn't even beat South Africa.

Keep this talk to the Cricket chat forums, this is not a bloody real international fixture. This is a just a cricket game, no need for flaring tempers here.

thanks. hope you guys enjoyed 2nd odi highlights

England off to a slow start at Manchester

10 overs: Australian quicks are slowly but surely hitting a good form on a helpful wicket at Manchester. Contrast to the starts we have seen so far in the series, England openers had to play much cautiously. With the wicket offering plenty of assistance, Australians may feel a bit unlucky not to have picked a wicket so far but with the run rate in control England must be feeling the pressure slowly building up. England 37 for 0.

the patch is looking spot on Ravi, and sure enough we see McGrath has returned more 'normal' figures of 5-0-15-0 :p

20 overs: Things pretty much even at 20 over stage after Australia managed to get a double breakthrough. England accelerated since the last update thanks to some attacking batting by Solanki. For Australia Kasprowicz provided the first breakthrough trapping Solanki (35 off 49) with a yorker that looked like missing leg stump. Trescothick (29 off 61) followed soon after he gave a simple catch to Ponting off Gillespie. Vaughan and Strauss will look to rebuild the innings and Aussies must be aiming for another wicket to get the upper hand. England 88 for 2.

By the looks of it 88/2 after 20 overs is a very good score with the new patch. I am not saying it is hard to score runs at all but to have lost only 2 wickets on a green pitch while maintaining 4.5 rpo is an excellent start for England. The new patch is tweaked to get CPU and humans out the very moment they play mistimed shots. It is not easy to have lost only 2 wickets off 20 overs on this pitch.

With the new patch I guess 220 runs will test my batting skills to the fullest.

S, the same patch but with much more solid batting by CPU. I remembered I missed out on changing CPU batting while the sixes shots were made hard to score off. This was making CPU batting falter a bit due to the six shots ending up in catches. That is fixed in this latest version. As for human batting, nothing really has changed.

One more win is all we need!!

Good to see the CPU containing the batsmen, and I guess a score of 230 will be a good one using Ravi's latest patch.

30 overs: England lost Strauss and Pietersen since the last update but thanks to a blazing 50 (43 balls) by Vaughan they are slowly moving towards a good total. Kasprowicz got his 2nd wicket after Strauss edged to first slip where Clarke took a good diving catch. Pietersen played some good shots but just when the partnership was looking dangerous he was bowled off a full ball from Symonds. The crowd has witnessed a superb knock by Vaughan so far who looked in fine touch against seamers and spinners and with Flintoff continuing his good run a good total is on the cards. England 164 for 4.

40 overs: Vaughan masterclass continues as England are in a good position even after losing Flintoff (23 off 29) and Collingwood (1 off 2). Ponting's bowling changes worked as McGrath and Martyn got the breakthroughs but with Vaughan still there England are moving towards a good score. England 220 for 6.
