When he was sacked as captain.
B) he was not sacked ,he had a arugment with the board about payments

but i dont recall him retiring, he just said he wouldnt play for windies again, in a mad manner, so in other words, he said he would not, but maybe if some miracle or negogations happen, maybe then he would return

Well, in the game today;

England 101 All out (32.5 overs)
James Franklin took 5/42 and Jacob Oram took 3/23 both from 10 overs. Trescothick top scored with 14, Harmison of all people coming in 2nd top with 13.
England were 78/9 and it was disappointing not to bowl them out sooner.

Many of the englishmen who thought that they were no.2 in the world might have been taken aback by these results

I don't think anyone ever claimed we were number 2 in ODIs.

Anyway.

Result

England: 101 all out (Franklin 5/42)
New Zealand: 103/3

New Zealand win by 7 wickets

By the words ` Many englishmen` I did not mean our forum members but many of the `so called` cricketing pundits like Bob Willis, Ian Botham,................ after the Carribean series and the recently concluded test series . Someone from the English team even said that they were ready to challenge the aussies and regain the ashes
