New C2005 Gameplay Video

hmmm i stuck up for this game in the beginning but this viedo has changed my views

this video shows cricket 2004 with better graphics, same comentary, same Keeper who looks like he's been bought up from U/12's to fill in

LOL.

Some of you guys are too hard on EA. From what i saw between the videos of BLIC and C2K5, I prefered Cricket 2005 in almost every aspect, except for commentary, and the unusually looking buffed up players. BLIC moves too fast for me, i prefer C2K5's pace.

Anyways, dont start judgeing the game after a 4 minute video clip you saw, play it first then critize it, if in need

somebody paid to implement that technology initially and it sure wasnt you. you should be happy ea decided to bless cricket with it, cause otherwise no one else really cares to.

Guys! relax..stop abusing EA..you guys just dont know how hard it is to make games.Game developers have 7 days a week schedule 9am to 8pm (YEAH ON SUNDAYS AS WELL) ..they are ruining their social lives sitting in cubators just to make you guys happy...and NO they dont get paid a lot either.

Also since the market for cricket is soo small as compared to Fifa,NBA ...nobody will want to spend millions in getting licenses,getting better commentry..so they just use the previous assets to prevent costs. How many members do we have here 7000 ?

I do agree that cricket should be developed by developers who actually have played cricket and not just any other programmer.I doubt if any body plays cricket in canada(ESP Nova scotia).

So just calm down..and dont insult the developers by calling them lazy ...they are just programming as per the design document..

How i know this? i am a game developer working in the industry.

If U had to spend UR hard-earned money on a game; which one would it be ? Dont care who works how many hours and who develops how many games as somebody else has already said b4 I would love to buy C2K5 but give me a reason why I should; and I dont hate EA, infact Im a big MVP Baseball fan.


Actually the only thing I like about the video is the stadium shadows which AW talked about b4

after the first sentence i didn't get a word u said! are you saying BLIC player models and animations look like robots, if so thats complete rubbish.

"Bless cricket", you know that is such an overstatement. All EA has done is mockery of the great sport in their previous version(Cricket 2004).

Fair enough EA has improved over the BLC'99 but the stuff up they have done in every game have proved way too much to handle.

Firstly if you have been paying decent money and buying EA's games you will know the pain. Secondly if you are unaware of previous EA cricket games' bugs then I suggest you go through the bug list then decide why people don't hold EA in high regard in this forum.

Lastly they paid for the technology for other titles not Cricket. Cricket 2005 barrowed existing technology existing in their company without further tweaks to the graphics engine and the result you now have is even U.Chandana looking like Jonah Lomu

Has it ever occured to you, that "what game is better and more fun to play" is completely an opinion? :

To you BLIC outweigh's Cricket2005, but to someone else, maybe Cricket2005 is a better game.

Video shows a lot of stuff indeed . It showed me what I needed to see and honestly I am really dissapointed . Obviously the commentary aspect is really shocking . One and half years and they come up with this and what is the matter with players , seriously first I thought it was Yuvraj Singh who was bowling but it turned out to be Zaheer Khan . And the batsmen are still not holiding their bats the right away , you guys must have noticed the glitch there .There is no swing at all as rightly pointed out by some of you.

Well according to me in this video the only thing that was noticeable was the alteration in animations , nothing else.

The game looks dead as compared to BLIC , there is no life at all . The atmosphere seems so boring and not electrifying at all . It was an India - Australia match for god's sake.

Comparison of videos

I have seen both the videos i.e. of EASPORTS cricket 2005 and Brain Lara international cricket 2005

According to me there are four ways to compare them:

Graphics:

EASPORTS cricket 2005 looks awesome.

Brain Lara also has good graphics but the ground shown in its video as compared to EASPORTS cricket 2005 is on the low level side.

EASPORTS means great graphics and everyone knows it.

Gameplay:

In this regard brain Lara looks good but we cannot say that the gameplay in EASPORTS is bad. The video of EASPORTS cricket 2005 shows the defensive batting by the Australian players, if they show (may be in next video) some aggressive batting then we better know the gameplay.

Whatever brain Lara got 9 out of 10 but EASPORTS cricket 2005 got 5 out of 10.

Keeper loses the first ball, this is ridiculous. It is also not shown that what a player can do on Yorkers delivery, Whether there going to be direct hits or not as in cricket 2002. Lets hope it is shown in next video.

Commentary:

EASPORTS comes with the same commentary as in previous versions but the commentary in brain Lara seems to be better.

Fielding:

Brain Lara provides a control over fielding i.e. the power by which a player throws a ball towards stumps. This thing is not in EASPORTS cricket 2005

Overall:

EASPORTS cricket 2005: 6.5

Brain Lara cricket 2005: 8.5
