NVidia have released new drivers for their video cards that fixes problems that occur with Cricket 2002 and GeForce 4 MX cards.

The drivers fix problems with GeForce 4 MX cards when running Cricket 2002 in Windows XP which include:

A graphics glitch which means "Spikes" come out of players
random lockups during gameplay
Some problems that have occured with the menus
The computer rebooting when the game starts

You can download the patch from

http://files.guru3d.com/nvidia/42.01_winxp.rar (approx 8MB)

You will need WinRar or a program capable of extracting .rar files to use these drivers.

UPDATE - It seems like these drivers dont fix all the problems with crashing in the menu - see this topic for more info.

so much for that. The menu screens are still messed up after returning form gameplay.

i don't think the menu stuff up when returning from a game is a geforce4 problem, i think it's because of using directX 8.1 rather than directX 8.0. i had no problems with playing on geforce 4 until i installed xp service pack 1, now it's totally screwed when i return from a game
