New Zealand Premier League XIII

* No question of dropping McCullum down the order and he better perform this time after batting worse than say Neil Broom in the last 3 seasons :facepalm

I can guarantee you that McCullum will be rated higher than Broom. ;)

What about Shakib???

I guess it'll be something concerning the injuries or the player cap :p

That's not a big announcement. :p
I was happy how the player cap system worked last season, so I might just leave it like that and not worry about injuries again.

LOL,just kidding.
But on a serious note,i want him to be rated better than Ross Taylor because though some think otherwise,McCullum is a better ODI batsman than Taylor.
He's more mature, gutsy and talented than Taylor and NZ's second best batsman ATM after Jesse Ryder ;)

What about Shakib???

There's this rotation policy of ours which enables him to play at least 3 out of every 5 games. :)
He'll be the obvious replacement when each of Jayawardene, Collingwood, Hussey and Flintoff is rested.

Hmmm... I tend to think differently. :p
Taylor is extremely talented, he just always gets out playing stupid shots when he's got a start.
McCullum is more the opposite, if he gets a start he goes on quite a bit of the time, but the problem is quite a lot of the time he's dismissed cheaply.
Guptill was New Zealand's best ODI batsmen in 2009 being named in the ICC world ODI team, but he has kind of dropped of the radar in 2010.
I'm thinking I might give Vettori the highest batting rating. :sarcasm

I think the major announcement is that we now have 4 internationals in the playing XI :spy

No, I would of told you guys earlier if that was the case. :p
I'm not sure how many of you have actually read all of post three, but it says on their five international's in your playing XI.

My Probable Team:

Virender Sehwag
Shane Watson
Hashim Amla
Hamish Marshall
Reece Young
James Franklin/Luke Woodcock
Daniel Vettori
Shahid Afridi/Yusuf Pathan
Colin de Grandhomme
Iain O'Brien
Dale Steyn/Doug Bollinger

Maybe I should open with Vettori :p

You could play an extra batsmen instead of de Grandhomme, since you already have six better bowlers playing in Steyn, O'Brien, Afridi, Vettori, Franklin, and Waston.

well he hasn't played too many odis and as the domestic level goes he's always played well there.
