New Zealand Premier League XIII

I'm just informing you guys that I have a pretty big announcement set for tomorrow.
I'm not sure how it'll be received, so we'll have to wait and see.
Ah were all online now.
Spill it ! ;)

You could play an extra batsmen instead of de Grandhomme, since you already have six better bowlers playing in Steyn, O'Brien, Afridi, Vettori, Franklin, and Waston.

Hmmm

Sehwag
Watson
Amla/Morgan (if Morgan plays he'll drop down a bit)
Marshall
Parlane/Myburgh/Woodcock
Young/Watling
Franklin
Vettori
Afridi/Pathan
O'Brien/de Grandhomme (would move up a bit if played I suppose)
Steyn/Bollinger

Probable Lineup:

1. Rahul Dravid (wk)
2. Martin Guptill
3. Brad Hodge
4. Mohammad Yousuf
5. Jacques Kallis
6. Kane Williamson/Michael Parlane (wk)
7. Kieran Noema-Barnett/Kane Williamson
8. Joseph Yovich
9. Andre Adams (c)
10. Makhaya Ntini/Ajantha Mendis/Harbhajan Singh
11. Andy McKay

Andre Adams will take back captaincy from Ntini after a pretty average NZPL season 4.

@ Chewie: How about Shahid Afridi and BJ Watling for Peter McGlashan and Graeme Swann?

Provided Callum allows it? If the deal goes through I have 3 part-time keepers, if you could count AB as one..

Pretty fair deal. You get one of NZ's best keepers, in return for a batsman that has struggled for you. I want Afridi as he can bat a bit, despite having an average season last time around. Plus McGlashan is a handy keeper, I guess he is better than the one you have and you can release your old one in exchange for a better player.

I am looking to trade in McGlashan and Swann, for a batsmen/keeper and a Spinner. So if you have got something interesting let me know...

Afridi>Swann and Watling>McGlashan tbh...

Well I made another team get a full-time keeper, even though they already had three part-time keepers, so I don't really know.
If I allow you to do that, I'll have to allow Aussie Team to get rid of Bevan Griggs.
In reference to AB he's definitely not a full-time keeper. :p

Stewart Island/Rakiura is the third-largest island of New Zealand. It lies 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of the South Island, across Foveaux Strait. Its permanent population is slightly over 400 people, most of whom live in the settlement of Oban.

The Stewart Island Rejects will be the ninth team, and the first unofficial team in this season's New Zealand Premier League.
They will be independently managed by no one, and will consist of the 18 best players who did not make it into any other of the eight official teams.
They will act as a feeder team, and once throughout the season every one of the eight official teams will be allowed to make one trade with them.
During the regular season they will not be a part of any table, but every one of the eight official teams will verse them once.
If the Stewart Island Rejects win they will not gain any points, rather the team they are versing will not get any, but if the team they are versing wins, that team will receive one point instead of the normal two.
They will not play any games at home, and in rounds two to nine during the season, one of the eight official teams will play a double header at home. In this double header they will only be able to select one playing XI, which will be used for both their proper match, and their match against the Stewart Island Rejects.
They will have to follow the same rules and regulations as the eight official teams do regarding their squad, and their list of 18 players will be announced once the transfer window has closed.

Interesting addition! Unlike anything I've seen in other leagues :)
