Kanpur and Ahmedabad? Huhhhhhhh..... Already NZ is not a very popular visiting team, and you give them venues like Ahmedabad and Kanpur. The crowd attendance is going to be worst. The itineary again clearly shows that BCCI is more interested in ODI's and T20's than tests. The venues for the ODI's are picked very carefully, whereas they have thrown the leftovers to the tests (just for namesake, one test given to Mumbai, Bradbourne).

A game in Chennai in November-December? Very very high chances of a washout.

Hyderabad should have hosted a Test match IMO.
We have had many ODI's, but its like 22 years since we had a test match here:crying.

Getting tickets for ODi's is a difficult task, but somehow, I'm gonna stand in line from early morning % AM and get those tickets:D.

Good to see India is prepared to give us a 3 match series. England is the only other country we seem to get them with.

Looking forward to it its been awhile since NZ has toured India.

are they already playing 'excitement' matches? I thought they would at least trial them in county first. ICC is jumping the gun again to make money! :p

That option is not available for matches at Hyderabad.

Kyazoonga offers only ticket sales for venues like Mumbai, Bangalore & Mohali:(.
I tried it for match against Australia.

And even if it offers (assuming the Indo Pak series, where the final tickets at Jaipur were sold), they sell only tickets costing 5,000-7,000 (INR), which is too costly for me:yes.
Even though I put the money, my friends cannot:(.

BTW, Yes, India will face strong competition from New Zealand!

NZ won't be a threat in the test series. In the ODI's definitely. There top order is almost as destructive as India's (especially if Jessi Ryder is fully fit). Oh and Ross Taylor playing and ODI at Bangalore xDD

I think we are favorites for both tests and ODI's (if it happens). We are becoming a very strong side in ODI's now. MSD is leading us superbly in ODI's (and he has been scoring runs as consistent as he ever can). Once Sachin and Sehwag return full time to the side, we should become more stronger. Zaheer seems to have hit his stride in the just concluded Asia Cup. Nehra is surprisingly keeping himself in the hunt with some wickets (especially the Asia Cup final spell is his 2nd best after that magical 6-23 vs England in the 2003 WC). Praveen is dangerous in ODI's and reliable. Bhajji is being good so far, Jadeja is ever reliable and we have good backup options in Ojha, Ashwin and Mishra. I am waiting for Yuvraj to comeback in ODI's with a bang. We should then be well set to mount a serious challenge in the World Cup.

But has he shed his 'elephant' status? We need his fitness and fielding too.
