My question is can we people call Zaheer as an All Rounder??

His performance from Border Gavaskar trophy both with bat and ball was excellent. He got Two Half Centuries Out of which twice he remained Not Out..
And Even Harbhajan,
Can we call him All Rounder??

He even performed equally as Zaheer...

Too early to make a call, but its true that Indian Tail is nomore a pushover. they are making sure that bowler would earn the wickets. Though Bhajji is closest of those two to be called an allrounder. If you look at his batting performance since Border Gavasker trophy, he had better record than dravid:p

Zak scored Two fifties which were very crucial..
ofcourse, one fifty was made by the support of Bhajji but those two Knocks were very crucial dude..

Zaheer was dropped 3 times in his recent Fifty. He's going to be a handy lower order hitter, but certainly not an all-rounder. The only current out and out bowlers that have a chance of making themselves into all-rounders are Mitchell Johnson and Stuart Broad. Harbhajan and Zaheer will never be considered genuine all-rounders.

If Brett Lee gets back into the side you can name him. He has five 50s at an average of 20.

I'd consider Harbhajan and Khan as handy tailenders.

.....This.....

All-rounder is one who can bat according to situation and also sensibly and classical. But Zak isn't that kinda guy, may be a handy tailender(not a nightwatchman.).

Bibu07 added 1 Minutes and 9 Seconds later...

What do you mean by part time allrounders?:p

We have part time bowlers like Viru, Yuvi, etc.
sometimes they get to the top.

similarly, part time all rounders are those who sometimes get successful in the batting (if he is a bowler) or bowling (if he is a batsmen)

If Zaheer Khan and Bhajji can be considered as allrounders now, i will say Johnson is a pure batsman ;)

He averages 13 in test cricket = not even close to a all-rounder. Not even a part time all-rounder, just a useful tailender.

I don't know how many of you remember, Zaheer do have record of hitting consecutive sixes ( I think 5 Sixes ) in the last over of a ODI match which I think it was Vs Zimbabwe. I am not too sure about the opponent.

But answer to the title of thread, I can never call Harbhajan or Zaheer as all-rounders! Then What do you call Kallis?
