Inzamam-ul-Haq has been charged with bringing the game into disrepute along with changing the condition of the ball and, if found guilty, faces a ban of up to eight ODIs or four Tests.

how many matches in the upcoming ODI series?

If they ban him for Test Matches, that's really gonna hurt Pakistan

Going to put EVEN more pressure on Younis Khan and Yousuf to make the runs now.

And we'll probably lose all of them.

Depends on what type of pitches we play on and the conditions.

Play them on a green-top on and overcast day, and england would win...play them on flat lifeless pitches and Pakistan will win.

this is not looking fair at the moment it seems they are making it out all pakistans fault and nothing to do with hair. i do not think afridi would say that especially at the time and to and indian channel. wouldnt he say it to a pakistan channel

We're talking about ODI's here.

Not only are England in horrible ODI form, but this version of the game is so geared towards batsmen so that its doubtful you'll see a greentop.

It's definitely Afridi. It was actually in Karachi during India's tour there last time around. I don't know if it's been dubbed or something else though.

If results in cricket were as simple as that to predict, why watch the games ?
Pakistan have the bowling to trouble the England batsmen on greentops and their batting is more than capable of notching up a challenging total.

Maybe they looked at his evidence (the ball) and agreed with him?

Maybe (and i stress maybe) the ball has been tampered with..

Besides they can't deal with Hair , as the ICC is located in Dubai where its a national holiday today.

Those of use who were at Old Trafford know different..Pakistan's batsmen had no clue how to play on a green pitch.

We also have no clue how the English batsmen would fare against Rana Naved, Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif on the same pitch, do we?

True, but our Batsmen are more use to playing in those conditions....Pakistan looked all at sea.

You have to admit that Pakistan have a better chance to beat England on a flat-top, where-as England have a better chance to beat Pakistan on a green-top.

I don't think i am pointing oout anything new there.

From what I have read, Duncan Fletcher went up to Darrell Hair a day before and asked him to look at the ball after it starts reversing.

Also interestingly, Rahul Dravid was caught on cameras in Zimbabwe, trying to rub a cough lozenge on the ball.
Tendulkar, Azhar Mahmood, Shoaib Akhtar, Atherton, John Lever and Waqar Younis have also been penalised for ball tampering.

Seems like ball tampering is widespread.

I very much doubt Fletcher did.

For the people who are voting for Ian Bell over Strauss, could you please kindly point to me a single good knock that Bell played while under pressure?

I see.

Whatever happened to Prior?

Fletcher being in charge of the ODI team, that's what :p

Prior is the best batsman of the top 3, his keeping isn't on the level of Reads but he's as good as Jones with the gloves.

Although this is an England selection panel that uses batting ability as a defining factor when selecting a spin bowler.

Explains Athers lengthy career ;)

recovered? still looks average to me...lack any sort of basic control..I still doubt if he'd make Lancashire's 1st XI

His improvement from the ODIs to up to the end of Oval/Headingley is massive. I wouldn't play him, but he is a talent I feel.

That's why Mascarenhas should be playing for England.

It's a brilliant average in both forms, especially CC for a medium pacer.

He's out bowled Warne too, good to see good figures for Tremlett too.

My ODI team:

Trescothick
Strauss
KP
Collingwood
Yardy
Dalrymple
Read
Chapple
Gough
Broad
Lewis/Harmison if fit.
