Lets hope it's a minefield/tough pitch. 160/7 isn't great considering the side has a handful of players who are in line for test selection. Being Queenstown and a pretty cold start to "summer" it's possible.

it all depends how Pakistan bats.. maybe the conditions are not the best at the moment. A clear picture of form will arise once we have the second innings score...

What do you guys think about playing McCullum at 6, Vettori at 7, then four pace bowlers?

Sounds fine to me. Vettori at 7 is still a quite long batting order. Southee at 8 isn't bad either, we know what he can do. Tuffey's scored a few fifties in domestic from memory also.

Tuffey got a 50 last week for Auckland.

He did pick up two of their better batsmen though, so that's a good sign.

Southee wouldn't bat in-front of Tuffey if they both played. He's been batting at number 11 lately so his batting probably hasn't improve too much.
