Pakistan vs England in United Arab Emirates - October/November 2015

Now Ian Bell can really prove his critics wrong....now it matters....

Few of my friends that were regular posters during the Ashes are missing. Anyway.

The Test is at a terrible time here; starts at seven in the morning and is done by lunchtime so most people can't watch it

Nice to see Taylor scoring runs

This was Ian Bells lowest strike rate in a series where he faced more then 200 balls... Wonder how long they had to go back to find one of those!

Never seen bell in my life scoring comfortably....... The match is still even, If Pakistan takes two quick wickets early on tomorrow the situation would be perfect

Honestly based on recent form I'd rather have Bell in the team than Buttler: at least the former occasionally scores runs...

Pakistan need to fine some early wickets tomorrow, if they want to make it worth something.

Either way, England might have the better of Pakistan so far but they don't look like they're way ahead, once this partnership is broke, the whole team collapses.

I think we've established that Moeen Ali shouldn't open going forward, so he'll go down and slot in at number 7 in SA. Most of you don't seem to want Bell in the team, so who comes into the middle order?

Hales will get his chance opening with Cook. Taylor and Root would probably be at 3 and 4. Bairstow would have the gloves and bat at 6. So that means the number 5, plus the reserve batting spots are available. It doesn't look like Stokes will be around.

Suggestions?

I'd carry on picking Bell if he doesn't retire, as I think there are very few options. I suppose the candidates would be Ballance, Hildreth, Morgan and Vince.

I think Compton should be brought back in to open personally.
