That's okay. That was just to tell we need only 1 team from a particular country. Hence, no qualifiers needed. We have enough teams and so having more than 1 team from a particular nation won't be a good idea.

These 10 teams should be finalised.

All except ELA are confirmed as direct entrants. That's because I'd prefer giving newer leagues like CBC/GAPL a chance for this season as ELA has already participated in the past 3/4 seasons. Maybe the best way to go will be to pick the league which finishes first among those two.

Me being an associate lover, I'll still want the associate-based leagues to fight their way through qualifiers to make up the final two in a 12-team tournament. A bit like the World T20 earlier this year which also had a qualifying round.

A short qualifying round and a 12-team CL is easily manageable for me I think..

I can understand too. I would have loved Northern Knights participate but, I do think more than one team from any nation is not a good thing.

VC, you can have the qualifiers for the associates as you wish. The CL manager will always have the final say. We can only suggest.
