PC Version Run-Out Bug

I hope (unrealistic i know) that their is a genius out there somewhere that can solve this bug as setting your own default field really helps you in the one day game. Has anyone any idea how this can fixed? I know it has been coverd many times but at the moment this is the only bug which is spoiling the game
 
Just save after every over and reload if it occurs- only solution :(

i have been doing this but its stupid i have been bowling for about 5 hours now im fed up with this lame bug! I have the mid's up and they still make stupid runs! Im giving up with one day bowling untill it can be fixed by ea (yeah right!) or someone can release a patch :mad:
 
Bowling is pointless in this game because of the runout bug, I always use autosim, i only wish there was some way to edit the autosim totals to make them larger.
 
well its going to ruin the stats in my tour and story! Not pleased :mad:

This is currently only known solution - doesn't occur that often to me so doesn't overly bother me as I love bowling
 
Doesnt happen that often to me aswell. Actually in last 10 or so matches havent had one runout occur from bug.

Are you editing the field?

yes old chap i am editing the field, but with tutsi's patch i have installed if i dont edit the field then i will never keep the run rate down to a chase'able rate! I have followed runout advice guidelines like haveing the mid off and mid ons right up, for the spinners to but it still happens! In my last game i had about 16 run outs
 
id also like to add this problem has only been happening with the spinners, but from 30 overs onwards i always bring to spinners into to keep the run rate down
 
An idea that Sam might like to have a think about:

Can you edit the exe so we can toggle manual and auto fielding on/off ingame. Then when a runout is going to occur we can switch it to manual. Sounds complicated but if anyone can do it you can... :D
 
Try getting Sams patch in the "Default Fields" file... Apparently it stops run outs altogether which is good enough for me...

Then get the stroke and config editors, half the number of edges that batsmen get to spin bowlers, and you should have yourself an excellent cricket game :)

sams exe for the run out dosent work im afraid, they still occur
 
put mid-on and mid-off back on the circle, you'll give away one run though :rolleyes:

To be honest, im amazed more people arent concerned at this shocker of a bug...

I mean why have a lovely aussie kit and some quality bats if they are all out for 17 (7 run outs!)????
